Membership Overview

  • Open to licensed providers, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities
  • Members receive negotiated pricing on medications, supplies, and services
  • Direct vendor relationships may be required for certain suppliers

  • 1. Membership & Eligibility

    • Member must be a licensed and qualified healthcare provider, pharmacy, or facility.
    • Member agrees to designate the GPO as its exclusive or preferred group purchasing organization for specified categories.
    • Member may be subject to verification of licensing, accreditations, or business status.

    2. Participation & Compliance

    • Member agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including anti-kickback and safe harbor regulations (42 CFR 1001.952).
    • Member must adhere to vendor-specific contract terms (e.g., minimum order volumes, exclusive purchase requirements, etc.).
    • GPO may audit compliance with contract terms and usage.

    3. Pricing & Contracts

    • Member gains access to negotiated pricing tiers and discounts from contracted suppliers.
    • Pricing is subject to change based on supplier agreements, tier thresholds, and volume performance.
    • Members are responsible for maintaining any required direct accounts with vendors/distributors (e.g., McKesson, Cardinal).

    4. Fees & Administrative Compensation

    • GPO may receive administrative fees (typically up to 3%) from contracted suppliers based on member purchases.
    • These fees do not increase the cost to the member and are disclosed in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
    • Members are not typically charged a direct fee for participation.

    5. Term & Termination

    • Agreements are usually evergreen but may be terminated by either party with 30 days’ written notice.
    • GPO reserves the right to terminate for non-compliance, misuse of contracts, or violations of law.

    6. Confidentiality

    • Pricing, contract terms, and supplier agreements are proprietary and may not be disclosed without written permission.
    • Members must safeguard GPO-provided pricing and supplier materials.

    7. Limitations of Liability

    • GPO is not liable for the performance or delivery of products or services by contracted suppliers.
    • Members are responsible for direct transactions, returns, warranties, or product issues with vendors.
